My take on the Charlotte Bobcats part2.

Last time I wrote about the Bobcats, I suggested 2things.
1. Play more zone.
2. Move Diaw to the point and have a big body that likes to do the dirty work in the lineup.

Since then, they've made some trades and their roster is different.
Enter Theo Ratliff in the starting lineup to do the dirty work. Dirty work wise this is an upgrade from Chandler.
Now the interesting piece of this puzzle is Tim Thomas.
Jumping and running all over the court, you could say he is a Dennis Rodman type of player without the passing skills.
Remember, Rodman wasn't going to run up the score board, but his passing skills were excellent for a power foward.
This addition convinces me that they should play much more zone.

Their lineup is tall, athletic and to an extent skilled overall.
Imagine this lineup, Tim Thomas, Stephen Jackson, Boris Diaw, Gerald Wallace and Chandler, which would make an incredble zone.
The only worry is consistency on the fast break.
It does look scary having this group running a fast break. (If only Wallace or Jackson were Scottie Pippen!)
However in the half court set, I'm still convinced that Diaw can run it.
He's skilled enough and Larry Brown's offense is always set up so precisely there shouldn't be too much of a difference.

Even if they don't go to this big lineup, Felton has really improved and adapted his game to Larry Brown's style.
Also note that they still have names such as Gerald Henderson, Theo Ratliff, D.J. Augstin on the bench as well.

This is an intruging team with a lot of potential, but my feeling is, though a hell of a coach, a mismatch between personell and coaching philosophy.
But keep an eye on them as I smell an upset in the making from this team in the playoffs.
